wow, i'm not that strong. i deprived myself of sleep for awhile, i still do because we're in the "can't keep blankets on during the night stage" and so i have to keep putting the boys back to bed. lol. there isn't a sleep fairy though. smiles! wouldn't be too worried about the milk issue, everyone is different and its great we are!

Cory, I totally understand. My little boy, Stockton, was born with an enlarged kidney and had to have surgery when he was 8 weeks old. He screamed until then. The only thing that would comfort him was nursing (I felt like a cow!) or walking in a stroller. I did laps in my house ALL the time. One day I put on a pedometer and walked 13 miles in my house pushing a stroller!

It gets better and then it gets worse. Stockton is 2 1/2 and has a "big boy bed" and the novelty wore off after a week. He starts out in his bed and then in the morning, we find him all over the house. So, I am looking forward to him being three or four or 18!

Thanks for sharing! I think I have just barely sucessfully emerged from baby sleep deprivation induced insanity, it isn't pretty...lol! But I'm hoping being part of the rest of their lives will be worth it! It sure is right now! (mine are 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, and 3)

Congrats on creating a great sleeper! I completely agree with you. You will find, as Sammy gets older, that many people let their kids stay up until all hours of the night and figure they will make up for it in the morning. I am a firm believer in constant early bed times, and it has done wonders for our family. Obviously, it has been good for my two kids, but also for myself (everyone needs some quiet time), and for my relationship with my hubby :) When my little guy was a baby he was an awful sleeper. It got to the point where I literally would crawl into his crib and hold him while he feel asleep because every time I went to put him down he would wake up crying. After about a week of lying in a crib with an infant I, too, realized enough was enough and let him cry it out! I know you said you've tried to read some baby sleep books but my FAVORITE is "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" By Dr. Marc Weissbluth. I give it to mommies-to-be at baby showers and recommend it to everyone! Merry Christmas!!
